When we closed the studio in March, right in the middle of our Circus Extravaganza, we acted out of concern for our beloved circus community. We wanted to keep you safe! But we also know that part of our community's well-being comes from the creative and physical outlet we offer at Dragonfly. That's why we worked hard to open back up safely. This page is dedicated to the new student policies, procedures, and sanitation guidelines we've implemented since opening in October in order to keep you safe AND flying high.
If you're returning to classes for the first time, make sure to review all of this information; there's been a lot of changes! And please, if you have any questions, feel free to call or email or join our Facebook Student Group and post your questions there. We can't wait to see you again!
Complete and submit an online Covid Safety Check In before each visit to the studio--fill it out here!
We follow strict sanitation policies. Masks are required inside the studio and class sizes are limited to maintain social distancing--check out our protocols!
In order to make teaching classes in these unprecedented times easier for your caring instructors, we've implemented a 6-week session system of classes. Each six weeks, we'll announce a new slate of courses that will last 6 weeks. To ensure social distancing, these classes are capped at 4 students for adult classes, 6 students for kids classes, and 3 students for open gyms. We cannot accept drop-in students at this time so please register through our online booking system at least 12 hours in advance! We recommend you register earlier though, as spots fill up fast!
Online booking not your style? You may also call us at least 12 hours in advance to reserve your spot (865) 609-2012 and bring cash to the studio for the open gym fee and fabric rental. Exact change only. Receipts will only be provided if requested (electronically at a later time). Waiver, sanitation protocols, and open gym guidelines can be provided at the studio in person.
Limiting Shared Fabrics
During the pandemic, we know many of you may not want to share a fabric. That's okay! We've developed two options for buying silks and rigging for private use through Dragonfly. If you don't mind someone else's sweat, you can reserve a studio-owned fabric to share with other students. Studio fabrics rest at least 72 hours between uses. See our Merchandise Shop for more information.
Daily COVID Safety Check In
Students must fill out our safety questionnaire before each visit to the studio. You cannot participate without a completed questionnaire.
Starting in October, we will no longer use the punch card system, but we are still honoring any punch cards bought before the pandemic. We have extended expiration dates of punch-cards and try me classes. However, punch-cards cannot be applied to open gyms at this time because payments need to be made online and in advance to secure one of the limited spots.
